Abstract:On the basis of the theory of self organizing cybernetics, a new data mining method is proposed by using the principles of artificial neural networks. During modeling, active neurons are generated and eliminated largely, enabling the model to evolve into its optimal complex. Some principles, processes and network structures of self-organizationmethod are discussed. As an example, the economy in thewest China is studied with the model to find the critical factors. Some suggestions about the development of the west China are put forward.
